Restore me

We are all in a disarray when things that we use or purchase break down. Right! Many of us really don’t know how to function without our cars, t.v., phones, iPad, or computers. Without these things where would we be? We rely too much on our electronics to get us through the day. So when your equipment breaks down and you’re in rush to work for a meeting, what do you do? We quickly think of ways to get what we needed repaired.  We are becoming less and less patient as a society, as everything has become way too easy for this upcoming generation. How do we repair of ourselves with God? We are a part of a generation that only relies on self-importance with a disconnection from God. We have to become more relatable as being a part of this generation to help restore relationships with God.  In Psalms 12-13 says, “Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you.” Psalms 51:12NLT says, “Then I will teach your ways to rebels, and they will return to you.”

First, we have to see the damage in our lives and be willing to let God repair us. Many of us still remember the damage people have caused us and we continue to hold them responsible for things they won’t fix.  We have to be more accountable for ourselves to God. We have to make room for God to come to our house! Get rid of the enemy! We are so disconnected from God when things don’t go our way. We cannot continue to fight because we won’t win. God has given us the power to use for his glory only. Many people will only see darkness if they choose to walk in their own paths. God sent his son to die for our sins to heal all from eternal death. We still are going down the wrong road if we are not connecting to God. He sends people to draw all men to him. In other words God will send someone to help you get through these rough times but we can’t reject the people he sends in our lives.  Get rid of your disconnection. Get rid of all people that are persuading you down the wrong. They won’t be there when God lifts you up! God has a plan for you and me. Acknowledge him today for your path to greatness. Today, ask God to restore and renew your joy in him! Pray for your healing, your family’s healing and the world’s healing. Watch God move in remarkable way!

Patient Endurance

How we deal with difficult times is different for us all. We tend to fall and forget about others when we are in self need? Are we being selfish? How will we handle change?
In today’s society so much change affects us all so suddenly it can make us lose hope. Some of us move away from Christ during hard times and use that for an excuse to blame others when we are challenged. Have we lost confidence in God? We give up on God too quickly when we are suffering, whether it’s death in a family, becoming sick, or just growing tired of being stuck in same situation.
Hebrews 10:35-36 (NLT) says, “So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.” A time is in need for us to instill trust in Christ who grants his grace and mercy for us who sin daily.
Hebrews reminds us that it’s Christ who suffered for us all when he died on the cross for our sins.  We all like rewards. Most of us are always thinking of what we can get for free. Those types of rewards and gifts we receive here are only short term; they don’t leave this earth with us! Patience is a virtue, so Christ is reminding us to be patient with the plan he has set before you and me and to remember the ultimate reward it brings.
How do you start? By acknowledging that Christ is the head of your life and household. Begin to read a scripture, then a chapter then a couple of chapters of your word daily. Increase your prayer life. Pray for yourself and those you love and also for people you’re around (co-workers church and ministries etc.). If you expose your darkness to the light it will be shown to the world. People will see that you belong to Christ, and they’ll be willing to follow you and surrender their lives to Christ as well.
Today take time to acknowledge Christ and renew your relationship, as well as your heart, mind, and spirit. Begin to open up to Christ and share with him all your struggles. Pray for your courage and renewed spirit and mind to do God’s will.
