“I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.”
John 15:1-4 NLT
We are the branches that produce the fruit from the grapevine and gardener. Those branches that do not produce any fruit are cut off and gathered in to pile and burned. Are you producing any fruit? The branches that are producing fruit are pruned to grow and produce more fruit. How will you grow yourself or someone else in Christ so they can produce the right fruit? Look at the fruit that falls from the apple tree in the spring or fall. If the fruit stays in the cold or hot weather too long after falling from the tree, it becomes rotten. Are you rotten or good fruit? To remain in Christ means we have to bear good fruit. This is the only way for us to remain with Christ and the Father, for he sent His Son to sacrifice His life for us all. We can sacrifice some of the rotten things in our life to bear more good fruit in a rotten society. Today share some good fruit with those you love or to the ones that treat you unfairly.
