Let Your Light Shine

Image-1 (5)

“You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.” Matthew 5:13-16 NLT

Sometimes we take this for granted. We often consider ourselves perfect for doing one good deed. What if God only did one deed for us? We often look at the sincerity of people’s hearts when we see them doing good deeds. We can’t examine the minds and hearts of other people. We should acknowledge them instead of being judgmental. How can we be the light of world? We often become so blinded by what we see in the world that we forget to let our light shine. The distractions we see daily are minimal but God is eternal. So let your light shine so bright that the world will see who our Savior truly is. Today, do a good deed for someone not looking for anything in return, but to please your heavenly Father. Remember to stand on faith regardless of what the enemy is doing.
