Wickedness Doesn’t Last

By Cortney Strayhorn

Looks can really be deceiving. It may look like the enemy will win because everywhere we turn there is evil going on in the world.  Evilness can trick the mind easily, but God rains over all in justice just as we read in Psalms 94. It starts in the beginning of Psalms 94 like a cry out to God, asking him how long will he let the wickedness go on. When will the evil people get what they deserve? This seems pretty similar with what is happening in today’s world. We see all type of people losing faith in God and going for what they think they know is best.  Today many souls are lost because they are after greed, respect, and dignity, instead of seeking God’s face and trusting in him. Many people lose faith and miss what’s most important. They miss the big picture but Psalms 94:12-15 shows us that God had not forgotten us. “Joyful are those you discipline, LORD, those you teach with your instructions. You give them relief from troubled times until a pit is dug to capture the wicked. The LORD will not reject his people; he will not abandon his special possession. Judgment will again be founded on justice, and those with virtuous hearts will pursue it.”

So today, commit a little time to the word and remember God is still in control of you and your situation. Stay disciplined. Give God the praise for what he will do.
